Printing/Downloading Restrictions

There is no DRM (digital rights management) on Springer ebooks and no limits on printing or downloading. Sringer ebooks can be downloaded by chapter or by entire book.

FInding and Using Springer Ebooks

Springer books can be found in any of the following ways:

  1. Because Springer books are cataloged, you can search for them by title, author, subject, or keyword in SOUTHcat.
  2. They can searched for by title by searching the library's Journal/E-book List.
  3. You can go to E-Book Collections and access the Springer site from there.

Springer ebooks are pdfs and either the entire book can be dowloaded or you can download individual chapters. Springer titles are in SOUTHcat, so search by keyword and limit to Marx Library Electronic books. The Marx Library owns both Springer journals and Springer ebooks, so if you want only books, be sure to limit your search by clicking on the word books.

Searching Books Only

Once you've clicked on Books in the Basic search, you can search books only using keywords or narrowing by discipline, subdiscipline, publisher or language.

Downloading

Springer ebooks can be downloaded as a full book or as individual chapters. You can also purchase a print copy of any ebook owned by the USA Libraries for $24.99. Just remember that, if you choose to purchase the book, it is you who will be paying, not the library!
