There is no DRM (digital rights management) on Project Muse ebooks; however, ebooks can only be downloaded and printed chapter-by-chapter.
Currently the Project Muse ebook collection has almost 5000 titles with more being added all the time. You cannot limit from the home screen; all you can do is search and browse. Limiters are available from the advanced search page or from the first search results screen.
The Advanced search screen allows you to combine search terms and to apply limits of all different types, including the one for books. The most useful limiter is "Only content I have access to" as it prevents frustration by retrieving content you can't read.
The results screen displays book titles that are deemed most relevant. Further limiting can be done using the facets to the left of the results list.
Although you cannot download a complete book, you have to download chapters, you can view the table of contents. Clicking on either the download button or the chapter title will download a pdf of the chapter.
