Each department or program on campus has a designated liaison librarian who serves as the first point of contact for any library-related questions or services. The Marx Library's Academic Liaison Program goals include maintaining regular communication with academic departments and programs, building effective working relationships between library staff and faculty in support of teaching, learning and research, and improving library services.
Your liaison librarian is also your point of contact regarding collection development and suggestions for purchase; you are welcome to contact your library liaison to suggest or request that items be added to the collection.
Library and Information Literacy Instruction
Faculty can and are encouraged to request course-related information literacy instruction for their research-intensive courses. This instruction can be in the form of synchronous instruction sessions, conducted by your liaison librarian in our library classroom, or asynchronous instructional artifacts delivered as videos or learning modules. This instruction is designed by your liaison librarian, tailored to each class, and provides hands-on practice with library resources and other information literacy concepts.
