What You Should Know About the Marx Library at USA: A Quick Guide: Library Spaces

Does the library have WiFi or computers that I can use?

Yes, the library has wireless connectivity on all 4 floors. 

The library also provides public computers on the 2nd floor. The fourth floor (south side) also offers one computer as well.  They can be used to access the internet and library resources.

If you need to write a paper, work on a Power Point presentation, or print head to the 1st or 2nd floor. 

Note: To gain access to the Learning Commons (1st floor) you will need to provide your Jag number at the front desk. 

   

How can I reserve a meeting room?

Did you know you can reserve a room in the Marx Library for your student group meetings? We have four rooms you can reserve for yout study function. To reserve a room, please visit the Meeting Room Usage Policy page. 

 

         

 

 

Where can I study in the library?

          

Individual desks and group study rooms are available on all four floors. 

Good to know Room/Space Information

  • Rooms are available on a first come first serve basis. 
  • Groups have priority over individuals.
  • Rooms are not sound proof, please be mindful of your volume.

Quiet and Non-quiet Floors

  • 1st floor (non-quiet floor), The Learning Commons is an open collaborative area for current USA students that offers group and individual study spaces. 
  • 2nd floor (non-quiet floor) offers open areas, group study rooms and tutoring from the Center for Academic Excellence. 
  • 3rd floor (quiet floor) Provides open spaces, group study rooms, cozy nooks, and graduate lounge study area (Jag #required).
  • 4th floor (quiet floor) Houses larger group study rooms (4th south) and open areas for study on both north and south side of building.
