Intro to PrepSTEP

PrepStep is a resource designed to help you navigate college, upgrade your skills in some areas, and prepare for placement tests and graduate school exams. You can take tests here, both timed and not timed, view tutorials, and download ebooks.

Graduate admissions exams included in the test prep section include:

  1. DAT
  2. GMAT
  3. GRE
  4. LSAT
  5. MAT
  6. MCAT
  7. PCAT

The Career Preparation module includes, among others, exams for:

  1. Allied Health and Social Worker
  2. Emergency Medical Services and Firefighting
  3. Nursing
  4. Teaching 

Creating an Account

In order to fully and effectively use PrepStep, you must create a personal account. This is necessary in order for the system to save your work and store your scores. The account is also what allows you to go back to tutorials, tests, and ebooks that you have previously looked at.

PrepStep Center

Once you have logged into PrepStep with the account you created, you will be taken to your personallized Center. From here, you can explore resources in each section and add them.

Training Resources

Because PrepStep can be a bit complicated to use, the training information provided by EBSCO can be really useful. The videos cover registering as a new user, searching, taking a tutorial, taking the tests, and using PrepStep eBooks.
