First Year Experience: Meet the Marx Library

Welcome to the Marx Library

The University of South Alabama opened its first library building in 1968. That building is now the south side of the Marx Library. In 2003, the north side addition was added and the library was effectively doubled in size.

Our mission is to support the teaching, research, and service goals of the University of South Alabama.

We are here to help all of our students no matter their background, experience with college and research, or goals.

If you would like to read our mission statement, you can find it below.

Learning Commons

The Marx Library Learning Commons is a collaborative study and project development space for current USA students and faculty.  A current USA student or faculty ID is required to use the Learning Commons and users must sign in to use the Learning Commons.
