Citation Generators

A citation generator, such as EndNote and RefWorks, can help you keep track of your references as well as help you cite them correctly. Most of our databases have features that will generate citations in many different formats. Here are some free web resources that are useful:

Mendeley
Create a free account. Download Mendeley desktop to keep all your references in one place. You can create folders for different projects and import pdfs into your account.
Zotero
Download Zotero to your desktop. It's available for the Mac, for Windows, and for Linux. Research can be collected, cited, and shared.
Zoterobib
Lets you create quick bibliography on the web without having to download anything. APA, MLA, Chicago, and Turabian (full note) styles are available.
CitationGenerator
Web-based tool for creating citations in APA, MLA, and Chicago styles.
