About National Hispanic Heritage Month

In 2020, National Hispanic Heritage Month will be celebrated in the United States from September 15 to October 15.

National Hispanic Heritage Month was first celebrated, in 1968, as National Hispanic Heritage Week. In 1988, Ronald Reagan expanded it to cover 30 days. It became public law on August 17, 1988.
