TAX INFORMATION INTRO

16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

---Passed by Congress on July 2, 1909, and ratified February 3, 1913, the 16th amendment established Congress's right to impose a Federal income tax.

TAX FORMS AND INSTRUCTIONS

The USA Marx Library no longer provides access to paper copies of the most-used, current tax forms and instructions during the tax season since both the Federal and State governments no longer provide paper copies to libraries.

However, if you need a copy of a tax form, the library can assist you in locating a copy on the web for print-out.
